Abstract

Makna kata beban pada Galatia 6:2 belum spesifik sehingga muncullah pertanyaan, “Apa makna teologis dari kata βάρος pada Galatia 6:2 dalam konteks jemaat di Galatia?” Oleh karena itu, penulis menganalisis makna dari kata βάρος di Galatia 6:2 dari konteks jemaat di Galatia yang bertujuan agar pembaca dapat menerapkan nasihat untuk saling menolong dengan tepat sesuai dengan kehendak Tuhan yang disampaikan melalui Paulus. Penulis menggunakan metode eksegesis dari Galatia 6:2, analisis teks dari Surat kepada Jemaat di Galatia, dan analisis historis dari konteks jemaat Galatia khususnya budaya Yahudi dan Yunani-Romawi dengan studi literatur. Penelitian melingkupi variabel konteks jemaat di Galatia dan makna kata βάρος. Penulis menganalisis dengan menyintesiskan makna-makna kata beban dari beberapa penafsir dengan konteks jemaat di Galatia. Hasil dari analisis, kata βάρος pada Galatia 6:2 dapat diartikan secara spiritual dan material. Nasihat Paulus kepada jemaat di Galatia adalah saling menolong untuk hidup sesuai ajaran Kristen, menjauhi dosa, dan membantu dalam hal keuangan. Dengan saling menolong menanggung beban telah memenuhi hukum Kristus.
