Persahabatan Rohani sebagai Sarana Formasi Spiritual dalam Kehidupan Orang Kristen
Abstract
Discussions related to spiritual formation tend to emphasize spiritual discipline carried out personally and pay less attention to communal aspects. Supposedly, spiritual disciplines carried out personally and communally can be applied together. This paper describes the spiritual discipline that is carried out communally, primarily through spiritual friendship. The research method used in this research is literary research. The research results show that, through spiritual friendship, the persons can experience spiritual formation that helps them become more like Christ. Several principles must be applied to build spiritual friendship, principles that are different from friendships in general, namely Christ-oriented, equality, and commitment. These principles need to be done deliberately. Thus, through spiritual friendship, a person can find aspects in himself that need to be changed or improved, which of course, leads to Christlikeness.
