Fenomena Budaya Kaum Muda dalam Keterlibatan Pelayanan di Gereja XYZ
Abstrak
Berdasarkan hasil focus group discussion dengan kaum muda gereja XYZ, peneliti menjumpai hambatan pertumbuhan kaum muda di dalam gereja tersebut, khususnya di area pelayanan, kepemimpinan, dan komunikasi. Ketiga area tersebut saling berkorelasi sehingga muncul fakta rendahnya pertumbuhan keterlibatan kaum muda di sistem gereja tersebut. Untuk melihat permasalahan secara utuh, perlu dilakukan kajian budaya kaum muda, yaitu kajian kecenderungan pola pikir dan tindakan kaum muda di dalam kesehariannya. Hal ini diperlukan untuk mendapatkan gambaran seperti apakah fenomena budaya kaum muda di dalam gereja tersebut. Dengan demikian, hambatan dapat dilihat dan disikapi secara subjektif-objektif. Melalui metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi, peneliti menemukan bahwa konstruksi budaya kaum muda di gereja XYZ adalah kontemporer loyalis. Diskusi mengenai konstruksi budaya kontemporer loyalis dalam kaitan dengan terhambatnya pertumbuhan keterlibatan kaum muda dipaparkan juga dalam tulisan ini.
